Basic Sandwich Loaves


In this one-day full hands-on bread baking class, participants will acquire the skills and knowledge on elements of sandwich loaves. Produce Classic White Sandwich Loaf, Whole-wheat Sandwich Loaf, Pain de Mie (Milk Bread), Multigrain Sandwich Loaf.

Method: Demonstration and hands-on.

Duration : 7 hours (1 hour lunch break)

In this one-day comprehensive hands-on workshop, participants will be able to understand the elements of the basic sandwich loaf and learn how to produce 3 types of sandwich loaves.

• List and describe the ingredients in a basic sandwich loaf
• Produce basic sandwich loaf dough using straight dough method
• Scale and shape dough into loaf tins
• Proof and bake dough to a satisfactory standard
• Make Classic White Sandwich Loaf
• Make Milk Sandwich Loaf
• Make Multigrain Sandwich Loaf
• Cool and store baked loaves in an appropriate manner
