- All prices are net unless expressly stated otherwise.
- The dates, instructors, duration, and content of classes may be subject to change. Grá Baking Academy will notify you via email or phone, based on the contact information you provide, regarding any changes. The version of information on our website is the most updated and supersedes other versions.
- Grá Baking Academy will not send reminders prior to events. It is your responsibility to note the event date in your calendar.
- Unless expressly stated otherwise in these Terms and Conditions, all purchases or payments are non-exchangeable, non-refundable, and non-transferable to another date or event.
- In the unlikely event of unforeseen exceptional circumstances, Grá Baking Academy reserves the right to change the event date or cancel an event. In such cases, a refund for any payment made will be offered.
- If, in the reasonable opinion of our staff, you are unfit to attend an event (for example, if you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or likely to disturb or harm others), we reserve the right to refuse entry or request your removal from the premises.
- Occasionally, our staff may capture photographic or video images of event activities for advertising, publicity, or sponsorship purposes. If you prefer not to be included, please inform us in writing before the event. Failure to do so will be deemed as irrevocable consent for Grá Baking Academy to use your name, likeness, voice, biographical details, photographs, and recordings in all media and formats worldwide, including our website and in advertising, publicity, or sponsorship.
- If any provision, part of any provision, or any part of these Terms and Conditions is adjudged invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by any court or competent authority, the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore, and you irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
CANCELLATION OF BOOKING
CANCELLATION OF SKILLS FUTURE AND WSQ COURSE BOOKING
- Only the Opening SkillsFuture Credit and one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up can be used for our classes. It should be noted that SkillsFuture Credit for mid-career cannot be applied to our courses.
- Your SkillsFuture Credit balance should be checked before registering or booking our classes. In the event that your registration/booking is cancelled after processing, please be informed that the processing fee or deposit will be fully forfeited to cover our administrative costs.
CANCELLATION OF NON- FUNDED CLASS BOOKING
- Payment for scheduled classes must be made in advance in order to secure your booking. Your booking will only be confirmed once full payment has been received. It should be noted that once confirmed, bookings cannot be refunded or transferred to another class.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances preventing attendance, payment will be fully forfeited. It is recommended that arrangements be made for someone else to attend in your place. Please inform us in advance of the details of the replacement attendee.
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES
- A minimum number of participants is required to proceed with each class, and this requirement varies depending on the type of class. In the unlikely event that a class cannot proceed, Grá Baking Academy reserves the right to change the date or cancel the class. Should this happen, a refund will be provided for any payment made.
SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR (PRIVATE/CORPORATE EVENTS)
- A maximum of 30- 40 participants (depending on the workshop type) are accommodated in our hands-on classes, which includes space rental, a recipe pack for each participant, ingredients, instructor engagement, and all necessary kitchen equipment.
- Bookings are contingent upon instructor and venue availability.
- All events require a 50% non-refundable deposit, payable by credit card or direct bank transfer within 5 days of booking, to secure the venue for the agreed-upon date. The remaining 50% must be paid two weeks before the class date. While the deposit is non-refundable, the remaining 50% balance will be refunded (if already paid) within 14 days of cancellation, provided notice is given at least 14 days prior to the class. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made 14 or fewer days before the class date. No exceptions or waivers will be granted.
RISK ACKNOWLEDGMENT & RELEASE
- Compliance with Grá Baking Academy’s safety and health directions, fire and safety regulations, and security arrangements is agreed upon. Any allergy, medical condition, pregnancy, dietary requirements, or relevant health information must be fully disclosed in writing to Grá Baking Academy at the time of booking.
- While Grá Baking Academy takes practical steps to minimize risks, attendance or participation in any class is acknowledged to be at your own risk. Grá Baking Academy, its employees, servants, agents, and service providers are released and indemnified from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from attendance or participation in an event, except where gross negligence by Grá Baking Academy is proven in a court of competent jurisdiction.
- In case of accident or emergency, authorization is given to Grá Baking Academy staff to arrange necessary medical care, assistance, or treatment. All costs or expenses incurred for medical care provided to you/your child/ward are to be reimbursed to Grá Baking Academy.
- You agree to reimburse Grá Baking Academy for any damage caused to its property, including equipment and structures, by yourself/your child/ward while on the premises.
- Grá Baking Academy holds no responsibility for lost property. Found items should be claimed within 14 days; otherwise, they may be disposed of at our discretion.
OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION
- Grá Baking Academy is not halal-certified.
- Disabled-friendly facilities are not offered by Grá Baking Academy. If assistance is needed, please contact us to explore possible arrangements.
- For hands-on classes, it is advised to wear closed, flat, rubber-soled shoes and avoid wearing shorts, short skirts, or sleeveless tops to ensure safety in case of hot splashes.
- Classes start promptly; please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. If late, the class will not be conducted from the beginning for you.
- The kitchen and worktops should be kept clean and uncluttered. Washing and cleaning is expected unless specifically instructed.
- Calls should be refrained from during classes, except in emergency situations.
- A set of replacement recipes can be provided for an administrative charge of $15, which includes the cost of local postage. The class date must be no earlier than 3 months from the date of your request to verify attendance. This service is subject to the chef's permission due to copyright issues.
- Respect for the kitchen, instructors, and fellow participants is expected at all times.
